Natterdoodle is heartfelt handwriting with a mission to sprinkle the world with positivity confetti! Equal parts sappy and snarky, Natterdoodle uses the power of the handwritten word to inspire, delight or set off fits of snickers. Dozens of fun, quirky and inspirational prints and greeting cards, with a hint of whimsy, a pinch of cheekiness & loads of good cheer - Natterdoodle creations make great gifts and dd some extra color and joy to your home or workspace. We interviewed Natalie to learn more about Natterdoodle!

Can you tell us more about your business?

"Hi, I'm Natalie Keller Pariano of Natterdoodle, heartfelt handwriting. My friends call me NatKP, so you can too!" I started playing with pens and paint as a kiddo. My funky writing eventually turned into an outlet for stress relief and then a hobby that I would occasionally share with the interwebs. I doodled positive affirmations, quotes, song lyrics, etc...really anything to bring a little more hope and happiness - and snickers into the world. I called my posts "Natterdoodles" in homage to a nickname my friend called me in college. After a few months of flooding my followers' feeds with #natterdoodle, a very clever friend of mine encouraged me to turn my hobby into a practiced habit. I used my posts as an accountability measure and committed to doodling every day. I was overwhelmed by all the love I got from internet folk and started taking requests for custom quotations, handlettered envelopes, party decorations and other special requests. I am always privileged to be part of someone's story. Natterdoodle is now available in 15 retail locations and counting and with the help of my very loving and devoted Instagram following, I am always amped to #sprinklepositivityconfetti in your homes, offices, special moments and of course, your social meeds feeds.

What aspect of your business makes you proud?

Because of the personal nature of my work, I often get the privilege of hearing stories of complete strangers and am invited into some of their most special, private moments. I've been honored to make dozens of wedding and anniversary gifts, create inspirational pieces for recent graduates, design baby nursery art and birth announcements, prepare memorial pieces for families and even be a part of surprise proposals! I also love going to a local artisan market and interacting one on one with customers - often watching them from afar smile at something I made to themselves or laugh and point something out to a friend. I live for those moments!

Is your business involved in any charity work in the local community?

I donate my work to a number of causes to help raise money such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation, Ohio Food Bank, LeaderShape, She Has a Name, Denison University and the National Association for Campus Activities.

Why do you love Ohio?

My work is created and printed in Columbus, Ohio. Born and raised in Cleveland, educated in Athens and a very happy resident of Clintonville, I'm proud to call Ohio my home! I love the Midwest sensibility Ohio offers, mixed with a progressive mindset. We are a state of incredibly gorgeous landscapes that really celebrates and embraces all four seasons. We are a motivated, creative and artistic bunch - and a generally kind people with a lot to be proud of. I think that's why my signature "No matter how far I roam, Ohio will always be home sweet home" piece resonates with so many people!
